Crescent City California - Sunset on the island at low tide
A beautiful rocky island shot during sunset on the cost of the Pacific in Cresent City. The light was almost gone and setting behind me when I took this shot. The slow shutter helped create the almost haunting, foggy look to the water.

Where the Fog Meets the Sea
Every morning the fog along the Northern California cost would melt seamlessly into the sea. Maybe it comes from the ocean and crawls over the land at night, and then slowly slips back in the daylight. Maybe it doesn’t. Either way it's beautiful in its simplicity.

The golden sunset is beautiful all on it's own, but over the ocean it becomes magical. The way the light dances on the waves is one of the most beautiful sights in all of creation. The pleasant sound of the ocean is just a bonus.
